Creating a new appointment

To create a new appointment click on the Day Planner icon in the left-hand menu.

From there you will see a calendar which will display differently depending on the type of view chosen from the top right menu.

Choosing the day option will display the selected day with any appointments scheduled for that day.

Choosing the week option will display the selected week with any appointments scheduled for that week.

Choosing the month option will display the selected month with any appointments scheduled for that month.

Choosing the year option will display the selected year with any appointments scheduled for that year.

Please note that you are able to move between dates by clicking on the two arrows at the top left of the scheduler.

In order to create a new appointment select a date from the calendar.

Once a date has been selected a new pop-up window will appear.

Once again, each text field has a tooltip which will appear when you click inside the text box.

In order to select a customer start typing in the Customer text box and a list of existing customers matching the text will appear in the drop-down list.

To specify the customer the appointment will be associated with click on the customer name from the drop-down list and the selected customer name will be highlighted.

If the customer is not in the drop-down list then means that the customer will need to be created.

You are able to create a new customer either by clicking on the Customers Icon in the left-hand menu bar or by clicking on the new customer button to the right of the Customer text box.

Once a customer has been selected enter the site address in the Site Address textarea. This is the address where the work will be undertaken but is not compulsory so it can be left blank.

In the description text area enter a description about the work that needs to be performed. The description text is a compulsory field and will appear in the day planner.

The next two fields are the start and end date and times.

There are two calendar icons, one for the start date and time and the other is for the end date and time.

Clicking on either of the calendar icons will pop-up a calendar whereby you are able to specify a date as well as a time.

Please note that the times are stored in 24-hour clock format so 11:30 am in the morning will be 11:30 whereas 4 pm in the afternoon will be 16:00.

Once the customer, address, description and start and end date and times have been specified, click on the Save button to add the appointment to the calendar.
